This handmade block is just the right size for small hands. It can be used for imaginative play, building, stacking or collecting. All AlmondRod blocks are easy to care for, hard to break, educational, inspirational and versatile (for tots, little kids, or big kids).

I have a decal copy of my original art on the front. On the back there is a quote or a prayer chosen to inspire little ones and the one that cleans up behind them. The saint's name, feast day and patronage are also listed - I didn't just want these blocks to be cute, I wanted to give a tiny glimpse of the saint's inspiring story. It is so hard to choose just a few words for each of them, but I hope there is just enough information to be a reminder and an inspiration for further learning.

I paint the original art in watercolors and then make it digital. My first blocks were made for my own kiddos. I have quite the range of personalities from the girlie girl, the rough and tumble boy, to the information junkie and I design my blocks to appeal to all of them.

HARD MAPLE BLOCKS: the precision cut and super smooth maple wood blocks are approximately 2 3/4 inches x 1 1/2 inches x 3/4 inches. No chemicals or finishes are used.

DECAL: Artwork and prayers are printed professionally on heavy duty, high-tack, weatherproof polyester paper - the same kind that bumper stickers are made of, which gives them as much baby proof durability as possible. :) They are hand cut and laminated so the image is incredibly durable and scratch resistant.

NONTOXIC: No chemicals or finishes on the wood at all. The decal is laminated polyester. The inks are laminated so they never come in contact with children. One of my children is sensitive to toxins, so this is important to me. Made and shipped at a smoke-free and pet-free home.
